Shaun Davies

Shaun is based in Powys and has been working at The Baskerville Arms in Clyro since 2014. A member of the kitchen team, Shaun is responsible for food preparation and cleaning duties. Both the ELITE Employment Advisors and staff at The Baskerville Arms created techniques and tools to improve the way Shaun carried out tasks. Through this method of structured training, Shaun successfully completes his duties in a high-pace kitchen environment!

Stuart Bowen

Stuart approached ELITE in 2014 looking for employment support that would accommodate his learning difficulties and anxiety. The ELITE team enabled Stuart to experience work placements in car valeting and in the recycling industry to boost his CV and self-confidence. Stuart has since found paid employment through ELITE at his local Nando’s in Merthyr Tydfil. Diners and staff have praised his excellent customer service skills!

Anna Jefferson

In 2017, Anna approached ELITE whilst looking for work in the Cardiff area. With support from ELITE’s Employment Advisors and family members, Anna found a work placement at the Cardiff City Council’s Ely Hub working as a library assistant. ELITE has supported Anna to work alongside her dyspraxia and dyslexia by gaining employment at Tesco. Working as part of the stock checking team, Anna has become a valued member of the Tesco family at the Excelsior Road supermarket.

Geraint Griffiths-Jones

A young man with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) – Geraint was introduced to ELITE in 2016 as part of the Engage to Change project. Following the completion of an initial assessment and under the assistance of our team of Employment Advisors, he was offered a placement with Learning Disability Wales in their Cardiff Head Office. That placement turned into an offer of employment as a Project Administrator. Geraint has since moved on to great things in employment – he is currently the award-winning Lead Ambassador for the Engage to Change project!
