Supported Shared Apprenticeships
What do we do?
The Supported Shared Apprenticeship Programme aims to enable disabled people to further their careers and improve their chances of obtaining paid employment.
During the Supported Shared Apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to gain employability skills and achieve qualifications at Level 2 or above, along with valuable work experience and learning whilst at work.
ELITE works in partnership with a dedicated Training Provider, who will provide, assess and complete the agreed qualification. On completion of the Supported Shared Apprenticeship, support will be provided by ELITE to negotiate or source permanent employment within your chosen sector.

How does it work for an employer?
As the host employer, you'll play a pivotal role by offering a paid work opportunity within your organisation for the Supported Shared Apprenticeship. ELITE can streamline the process by facilitating the payroll for the Supported Shared Apprenticeship.
Throughout the program, the Supported Apprentice will engage in a Level 2 qualification, enhancing their skill set and knowledge base. This scheme grants employers the opportunity to host a disabled Supported Apprentice within the workplace for a duration of up to eighteen months. Rest assured, the supported apprentice receives fair compensation, being paid the National Living/Minimum Wage.
This collaborative initiative not only enriches your workforce but also fosters inclusivity and diversity within your organisation.
