Privacy Notice
This notice explains why ELITE needs information about you, what we do with the information, and what your rights are about how this is used.
Why Do We Need Your Information?
For ELITE to help you find work and match you to suitable employment, training and vocational opportunities, we require you to provide us with your consent to process, store and share your personal information.
We need this to ensure our service is professional. We also need this information so we can ensure that you receive the best possible support to help you find a job that is right for you.
What Information do we need?
ELITE might keep information such as:
- Your name, address, date of birth, emergency contact etc.,
- How we support you
- Your benefits information
- Your skills and work experience
- Details about your health and wellbeing
- Your image or videos of you (with your consent)
ELITE might collection your personal information because:
- We have an agreement with you or a referring organisation to support you (Contractual Obligation)
- You have given us permission (Consent)
- We want to make support and training better for you and other people (Legitimate Interest)
- It is the law (Legal Obligation)
ELITE must follow the law when collection, storing or sharing information about you.
What Do We Do With Your Data
ELITE may use your information to:
- Choose the support you might need,
- Help you find a job, training or vocational opportunity,
- Find out what works and what doesn’t.
ELITE will always keep your information safe and private. The only people who we will let see your information are:
- People with permission
- People who have the right to see it by law.
ELITE are committed to protecting your personal data when you use our service. We will have received personal information about you from referring organisations and may need to collect more data from you and other agencies and/or individuals during your time with us.
It is sometimes important to share that information with other parties to ensure that we are providing co-ordinated services that best support you. People or organisations who may have a legal reason to see your information include:
- Apprenticeship Providers
- Benefits Agency
- Charities and / or Voluntary Agencies
- DWP / PIP
- Education, specialist training organisations and other support providers
- Health care providers and professionals
- Internship Providers
- Job Centre Plus
- Potential or actual employers, as part of our job finding activities
- Referring organisations and if applicable their agencies, e.g. DWP, Council services, Probation services, Social Services
From time to time, we may also be asked to provide personal data to other parties, such as carers, family, or a chosen representative.
We will always ask for your written consent before we release this data and will explain what and why we are sharing your personal data. We will never share your data with organisations not listed in your consent form without your permission.
How Do We Store Your Data?
ELITE will not retain, store, or hold any personal data for periods longer than required and will hold your data in line with the individual service we are providing and the contractual requirements of our funders.
ELITE have a Data Retention Policy. This tells you how long your information is going to be kept for.
We do not routinely transfer your data outside the UK. If this becomes necessary, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
You Have The Right As The Data Subject To:
- Prevent the use of data: You can prevent the use of your personal data
- Prevent the use, or request the removal of personal data: You can prevent the use, or request the removal of personal data that could cause distress or damage to yourself or anyone else.
- Request Access: You can request access to your personal data at any time.
- Request information: You can request information relating to our processing activities.
- Right to Erasure: If you think we have information about you that is no longer needed you can ask us to delete it (but we won't be able to delete it if the law says it is still needed).
- Right to Rectification: If you think the information we have about you is wrong, or has parts missing, you can ask us to correct it.
- Right to be informed: This privacy notice is our way of informing you on how your data will be used.
- Right to Object: You can ask us not to use your information for legitimate interests. (Legitimate interests are when we have a clear reason or goal for doing something.)
- Right to Data Portability: You can ask us to transfer your information electronically to another organisation
- Withdraw consent: You can withdraw consent at any time, for individual areas of data processing and sharing. Even if you don’t want it to be deleted.
- Withdraw your whole consent: withdraw your whole consent for data processing and sharing at any time.
If we cannot do what you have asked, our Data Protection Officer will explain why.
This privacy notice is reviewed regularly as part of our Data Protection Policies.
